The Braemar Single Organic Ventile® Smock, made with a single layer of L24 Organic Ventile®, effectively keeps out wind and water, except in the most violent or prolonged downpours. Unlike worn-out membrane garments destined for landfill, Ventile is a natural material that continues to perform even after years of use.

Lightweight and equipped with plenty of pockets, this smock offers the exceptional feel Ventile is known for. It will quickly become your most frequently worn garment for mixed conditions. Just grab it and head outside!

This classic, over-the-head smock with a hood is designed to be windproof and showerproof. The PFC-free water repellency provides good weather protection, featuring a storm flap and adjustable hood and hem.

The Braemar Organic SV Plus Smock is a versatile garment suitable for a wide range of activities, including cycling, walking, climbing, and bushcraft. The adjustable hood fits over a cycling helmet, climbing helmet, or bobble hat, and the large front kangaroo pocket is perfect for storing an OS map, phone, keys, or snacks (though melting chocolate bars are not recommended).

Please note that these smocks feature the “Organic Ventile” branding on the kangaroo pocket storm flap, which may differ slightly from the product photos.

Sizing information:

Generally these garments are true to size – but are intentionally a roomy fit – if they were trim around the body, they’d be hard to get over your head!

Here at Rumdoodles we commission the sizes XSmall, and Small to be made with extra length on the sleeves than is standard on the Hilltrek sizing charts. Therefore the sizes XSmall and Small are suited to our local climbers (who occasionally have ape-index issues) and are also ideal for normal shaped folk who prefer not to freeze their hands and wrists.

For example size XSmall is popular with women who generally size as UK10-12. Our XSmall also has another 2″ added to the body length of Hilltrek’s standard XSmall so that it is suitable as mountain wear, protects the vital areas, and makes the garment truely unisex.

The size Small suits either a women’s UK14, or is ideal for guys that would usually fit Small or Medium, but are slender around the torso, so do not need the extra chest size (and flap) you get from the Medium Braemar Smock. So if you are a guy that fits a 30-32″ waist and are of an athletic build – then size small is perfect.
